5 Guest Characters We Want to See in MORTAL KOMBAT

In addition to its massive lineup of original characters, the Mortal Kombat series has added several guest players in recent games. They have pulled from various pop culture icons as seen in film and beyond. These have included the Predator, the Xenomorph, Spawn, Joker, Freddy Krueger, Terminator, and most recently, RoboCop.

Mortal Kombat 11‘s release is still going strong, while more games are an inevitability. So, the potential is there for plenty of other guest stars.

Below, we list five guest characters that we’d love to see in future Mortal Kombat games.

Geralt of Rivia

The Witcher franchise has been a big success in recent years, thanks largely to the third video game and the Netflix series. The series’ protagonist, Geralt of Rivia, has guest starred in other games, most notably Soulcalibur VI. If he were to appear in more games, then Mortal Kombat would be a good fit. He would be a fun character to play with, and his brutal fighting makes him an ideal choice. And while we’re at it, can we have Henry Cavill provide the voice?

Deathstroke

NetherRealm Studios is behind both Mortal Kombat and DC’s Injustice series, so the two have had guest characters from each other. If Mortal Kombat were to add more DC characters, they should look no further than Slade Wilson himself. Deathstroke is violent, has a wide array of weapons, and is absolutely merciless in his fighting. AKA, the perfect Mortal Kombat fighter.

Michael Myers

Mortal Kombat has added several horror movie icons as guest characters, such as Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Leatherface. The next logical step is Michael Myers, star of the Halloween movie series. Myers is the ultimate slasher, and he’s a recognizable face. He has been rumored for Mortal Kombat 11 before, while fans have wanted him for years. So, really, it’s only a matter of time.

Judge Dredd

After adding Spawn and Joker in Mortal Kombat 11, the series will surely look to other comic book characters for future games. If they look to third-party characters, the next obvious choice is Judge Dredd. He’s an ultra-violent character who has a history in video games and movies. While 2012’s Dredd didn’t make much money, it was well-received by fans, adding a boost to the character’s pop culture legacy. Mortal Kombat wouldn’t be a bad next stop for The Law.

Kenshiro

While Mortal Kombat’s guest characters have mostly originated from movies, television and comics, one area that hasn’t been touched yet is anime. If they were to go that route, they should look no further than Kenshiro, the protagonist of Fist of the North Star. The Fatality potential for this character, known for his super-violent takedowns, is through the roof. And come on, the meme possibilities are endless.
