THE MANDALORIAN SPOILER Review: Episodes 2×07 and 2×08- “The Believer/The Rescue”
The Mandalorian (2×07 and 2×08)- “The Believer/The Rescue” Written by: Rick Famuyiwa (2×07) Jon Favreau (2×08) Directed by: Rick Famuyiwa (2×07) Peyton Reed (2×08) Welcome to the home stretch. The Believer We open in a scrapyard that apparently doubles as the New Republic prison holding Mayfeld. He’s released in Cara Dune’s custody. While he seems happy to be released he’s first confused and terrified to find that Cara’s running with Boba Fett and Mando. They need him for his knowledge of Imperial codes and procedures to help them get a line on Moff Gideon’s cruiser in exchange for some leniency from the Republic. He asks them to take him to…

THE MANDALORIAN SPOILER Review: Episodes 2×05 and 2×06- “The Jedi/The Tragedy”
The Mandalorian (2×05 and 2×06)- “The Jedi/The Tragedy” Written by: Dave Filoni (2×05) Jon Favreau (2×06) Directed by: Dave Filoni (2×05) Robert Rodriguez (2×06) So, did anything related to Mandalorian happen while I was away… Hmm, I’m just going to review the next pair of episodes and let that sort itself out. The Jedi We open of some sort of village and it doesn’t look good. Someone’s ringing a big alarm bell and there’s masked troops running to and fro. I wonder what’s happening- That would do it, I reckon. This village seems to have crossed a Jedi with twin lightsabers. White-bladed lightsabers, that’s a new one. The woman in…

THE MANDALORIAN SPOILER Review: Episodes 2×03 and 2×04- “The Heiress/The Siege”
The Mandalorian (2×03 and 2×04)- “The Heiress/The Siege” Written by: Jon Favreau Directed by: Bryce Dallas Howard (2×03) Carl Weathers (2×04) Episodes three and four, here’s hoping more happens than the last episode. The Heiress The episode opens with the Razor Crest limping to Trask. Mando basically has to drop out of orbit like a rock and then hope his braking thrusters work and it almost works. They land on the pad and then gracefully fall into the ocean. That’s probably going to drive up repair costs. But it’s okay since the Frog woman is happily reunited with her mate. Well that’s good, now maybe Mando can get some answers. …

THE MANDALORIAN SPOILER Review: Episodes 2×01 and 2×02- “The Marshal/The Passenger”
The Mandalorian (2×01 and 2×02)- “The Marshal/The Passenger” Written by: Jon Favreau Directed by: Jon Favreau (2×01) Peyton Reed (2×02) Oh man! Season Two of the Mandalorian, so much time has passed how will I ever remember everything that happened? Woe is me! The Marshal Season two opens on Mando out of the shadows in a city on the backstreets. He and The Child have come to meet with a being Gor Koresh at an underground fight club (but I can’t talk about that) to get a lead on the whereabouts of other mandalorians. Koresh wants to bet for Mando’s armor, which should be taken as a bad sign and…

THE MANDALORIAN SPOILER Review: Episodes 1×07 and 1×08- “The Reckoning/Redemption”
The Mandalorian (1×07 and 1×08)- “The Reckoning/Redemption” Written by: Jon Favreau Directed by: Deborah Chow (1×07) Taika Waititi (1×08) Time to wrap up Season One… That was fast. The Reckoning Mando’s on the way somewhere when he receives a message from Greef asking for help… Instead of deleting the message like I might (I don’t make the best decisions when I’m angry… or when I’m not angry, spending years Star Trek Voyager alone proves that.) he listens. It seems The Client has brought an Imperial garrison to Nevarro and the crackdown has not only hurt the city but the guild as well. If Mando agrees to come help them break…

THE MANDALORIAN SPOILER Review: Episodes 1×05 and 1×06- “The Gunslinger/The Prisoner”
The Mandalorian (1×05 and 1×06)- “The Gunslinger/The Prisoner” Written by: Dave Filoni (1×05) Christopher L Yost and Rick Famuyiwa (1×06) Directed by: Dave Filoni (1×05) Rick Famuyiwa (1×06) The Gunslinger It had to happen sooner or later, so best to just rip off the band-aid now… After nearly getting blown out of the stars by another bounty hunter and taking heavy damage, Mando takes The Child to Tatooine. But not just any part of Tatooine! He’s going to Mos Eisley! If it was just Tatooine I probably wouldn’t have cared, if it was just Most Eisley I would have let it slide but as soon as the Razor Crest touches…

THE MANDALORIAN SPOILER Review: Episodes 1×03 and 1×04- “The Sin/Sanctuary”
The Mandalorian (1×03 and 1×04)- “The Sin/Sanctuary” Written by: Jon Favreau (1×03 and 1×04) Directed by: Deborah Chow (1×03) Bryce Dallas Howard (1×04) Oh! You came back! Let’s not waste time, then. Episode three picks up as Mando is coming out of hyperspace. He receives a message from Greef containing instructions to head directly to the Client with the Child (who’s spending his time being cute and stealing a knob off one of the control levers.) Mando heads to the Client and after some grief from his Stormtrooper bodyguards he makes the delivery and as promised he receives a whole lot more beskar steel. Just before he leaves he pauses…

THE MANDALORIAN SPOILER Review: Episodes 1×01 and 1×02- “The Mandalorian/The Child”
The Mandalorian (1×01 and 1×02)- “The Mandalorian/The Child” Written by: Jon Favreau (1×01 and 1×02) Directed by: Dave Filoni (1×01) Rick Famuyiwa (1×02) So anyway… I feel like it’s been an eternity since I’ve reviewed the Flaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa- Wait a minute! What’s going on here?! This isn’t The Flash! This isn’t even the CW! Where the hell am I? Let me check… This is… The Mandalorian… That would explain people keeping their faces covered instead of taking their masks off every thirty seconds. At the risk of invoking déjà vu, “So anyway” welcome to my Mandalorian reviews for WOBEnt. I know I’m a little late but in my defense, I only…

“Snyder’s F**kin’ JUSTICE LEAGUE Growing in Significance? Fisher and Warner Make Nice, Marvel’s Phase of Crossovers, THE MANDALORIAN Finale Freakout”
For this week’s packed edition of The Fanboy Podcast, host Mario-Francisco Robles kicks things off with his response to the news that Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins is about to head out into that galaxy far, far away with a film called Rogue Squadron. He sounds off on what excites him about Jenkins and other similarly talented filmmakers getting to make a Star Wars movie. Things then turn towards Zack Snyder’s Justice League, which may no longer be called Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The film now has a projected release month, as well as some intriguing whispers about what’s gone into the 4-5 of additional footage Snyder is adding…

The Mandalorian is Exactly What Star Wars Needed
Hello there, it’s been a long time. A lot has happened since we last talked about Star Wars. We had the release of Episode IX, and it wasn’t pretty. We also had the launch of Disney+, meaning we got to see the first live-action Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. This is not a review of Mando, I’m sure one of my teammates will get to that eventually. This is just going to be a mini analysis of why Star Wars needs to lean into new territory instead of dwelling on the past. So, we need to go back to the beginning. Star Wars has always been special. The original trilogy…
