JUSTICE LEAGUE PARTS ONE and TWO Won’t Shoot Back-to-Back; Update on WONDER WOMAN Production

We are now very close to the start of production for Wonder Woman, which will be directed by Patty Jenkins. The film will star Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and possibly Nicole Kidman, with Eva Green and Sean Bean rumored for roles.

Meanwhile, Justice League Part One will start filming early next year. Directed by Zack Snyder, the film currently stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher and Amy Adams. And now, we have updates on the filming schedules and locations for both DC movies.

Speaking with Collider, DC Extended Universe producer Charles Roven offered an update on the two films slated for 2017. He confirms that Wonder Woman will start shooting in a few short weeks, saying, “We’re actually gonna start shooting [Wonder Woman] towards the end of [November]… We are shooting in the U.K. and in Italy.” So, expect more casting news to come very soon.

Next, Roven offers an update on Justice League. 2017’s Part One and 2019’s Part Two have been rumored/speculated to be shooting back-to-back; similar to how Marvel Studios will shoot the two parts of Avengers: Infinity War back-to-back next year. However, Roven confirms that this is not the case, and Justice League Part One will be its own, separate production. He then reaffirms that production will begin in the UK early next year. “We’re making most of Wonder Woman [in the U.K.] and we’re also making most of Justice League there, JL One… We’re definitely gonna be shooting Part One in the first or second quarter of next year.”

Stay tuned for more news as we have it. Wonder Woman hits theaters June 23rd, 2017. Justice League Part One will be released on November 17th, 2017.
