Deborah Snyder Offers Production Updates for WONDER WOMAN, JUSTICE LEAGUE and AQUAMAN

Speaking with Collider at the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice press junket, producer Deborah Snyder talks about some of the other DC Extended Universe films. She reaffirms that each installment is different from the other; for example, Suicide Squad differs in tone and color palette from Batman v Superman and Wonder Woman.

Speaking of Wonder Woman, Snyder offers an update on that project, which has been shooting since November. She says that the “bulk” of production has been complete, and she adds, “They’re taking a two-week hiatus so Gal [Gadot] can some and do press, and then we go back and shoot the Themiscyra sections in Italy, and then come back for some pickups in London, just some green screen and some tank work, and things like that.”

The next DCEU film to undergo production will be Justice League, which starts filming in a few weeks. Snyder reveals the exact filming locations for this movie. “We start Justice League April 11th and that is at Leavesden, mostly on stage and some locations around there as well as Iceland and I think a beat in Scotland at the end of the schedule.”

And finally, Snyder offers updates on the two 2018 offerings: The Flash and Aquaman. Currently, the latter is targeting a production date in the first quarter of 2017, while the scripts for both movies are still in development. “And we are working with James Wan on the development of the Aquaman script right now, and I’m hoping that sometime first quarter of next year we’ll be in production on that movie as well as working on the script for Flash. So it’s a little busy.”
