Supergirl has been adding many fan-favorite DC characters to its cast for next season. Superman is stopping by for a couple episodes, while Maggie Sawyer and Snapper Carr will appear. Meanwhile, rumor has it that Batwoman and Oracle will pop up. Now, this latest news is rather intriguing.
According to TV Line, Chris Wood has been cast in a new series regular role for Supergirl season two. Little is known about the character. Apparently, Wood is playing a “surprise” character from DC Comics lore, and he will first appear early on next season. There are certainly a variety of options for Wood, and there’s no doubt fans are buzzing with speculation.
Wood is a frequent collaborator with The CW. He previously appeared on The Vampire Diaries, Containment and The Carrie Diaries. So, it makes sense that he would be cast on one of the network’s superhero shows eventually.
Supergirl returns on Monday, October 10th at 8 PM EST on The CW.
