Zack Snyder’s Latest BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Image Teaser Pokes More Fun At STAR WARS
While filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice this year, director Zack Snyder found a clever way to have some fun on the set of the highly anticipated team-up. He previously shared a couple of images on Twitter combining the DC Universe with none other than Star Wars, which will make its triumphant return next year with Episode VII. One of Snyder’s images showed Henry Cavill’s Superman draped in a black cloak – the kind that he has worn on set to cover his costume – holding a Sith lightsaber, while another one showed a Batman action figure alongside R2-D2. Snyder’s latest is perhaps the funniest yet, as it deals with a recent (and now debunked) rumor.
This week, the rumor mill claimed that one of the Batmobiles on the Batman v Superman Detroit set was stolen, but that has now been proven to be false. However, the rumor inspired Snyder’s latest DC/Star Wars mash-up. The following image shows the Gotham police arresting the individual who stole the Batmobile, and it turns out to be none other than a Stormtrooper. While offering another look at Batman’s ride, this picture also gives us our best look at the Gotham City PD so far, as they had only been seen in low-quality set photos before. Check out the image below, and stay tuned for more as we have it.
