Zack Snyder Comments on the Title and Production Schedule for JUSTICE LEAGUE

We’re only about three weeks from the beginning of production for Justice League, the long-awaited DC superhero ensemble. But before cameras roll, director Zack Snyder and co. are out promoting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which finally hits theaters on Friday. During the press junket for that film, Snyder spoke to Collider and offered an update on Justice League.

Back when the film was originally announced, Warner Bros. referred to it as Justice League Part One. However, Snyder reveals that an official title hasn’t been set yet. “Right now the working title is Justice League. Actually, I’m in that phase where I’ve been drawing logos and I’ve been drawing title treatments and stuff like that to try and figure out what it means, what Justice League is, visually, so we’ll see if the name evolves with this visual presentation.”

Snyder then explains how Justice League‘s production schedule compares to Batman v Superman, and he confirms that both Gotham City and Metropolis will again be featured in this film. “The schedule’s close, it’s not quite as long, but give or take. We have a more efficient machine in England because we have a big backlot that we built for Gotham and Metropolis, so it’ll be easier to photograph than when you have to close down streets. But it’s a beautiful backlot.”

Justice League Part One is scheduled to hit theaters November 17th, 2017. The fifth installment in the DC Extended Universe stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amber Heard and J.K. Simmons. Zack Snyder directs from a script by Chris Terrio.
