JUSTICE LEAGUE Will Reportedly Be a “Crowd-Pleaser” Film

Despite the polarizing reception to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the film is doing well at the box office, and we’re only a couple days away from the start of production for Justice League. A new report suggests that, unlike Batman v Superman, Justice League will be a more general audience-friendly film.

Variety has published an opinion piece about the future of the DC Extended Universe, as well as the importance for a strong vision to bring these characters to life. Included, however, are some tidbits on Justice League.

According to the site, the film will be a “crowd-pleaser” with a “straightforward” storyline. Batman v Superman had a very complex, thought-provoking portrayal of its superheroes. Don’t expect that for Justice League. Plus, the two-parter is said to be “extremely kinetic and visual,” and it’ll be better suited to Zack Snyder’s talents as a filmmaker.

And finally, Warner Bros.’ Jon Berg and Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes are reportedly taking on a more “hands-on” approach to the DCEU, particularly the storylines. Snyder has been making many of the creative decisions for this mega-franchise up to this point, but is that about to change? Time will tell.
