A Very Different Beast is Coming in X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX

As X-Men film characters go, Beast has been one of the more underutilized in the cast of mutants. But it looks like that might be changing.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada, actor Nicholas Holt commented on his character’s turn in the upcoming sequel X-Men: Dark Phoenix, saying “It’s very different for Beast this time, and that was part of the appeal for doing the movie for me.” He added, “Simon Kinberg, who wrote and is directing this time, and he has great ideas for where he wanted the character to go, so it was exciting.”

Kinberg taking over directorial duties has been of particular excitement to eager X-Men fans looking for a fresh take on the franchise. We’ll know next year if his ideas translate into a crowd pleaser.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix hits theaters November 2nd, 2018.
