When Suicide Squad director David Ayer tweeted out that cast photo last week, we discovered a few new cast additions aside from the ones we already knew about. One actor that we found out had joined the cast is Adam Beach (pictured above, third from right), known for Walker, Texas Ranger and Cowboys and Aliens, who secretly joined in an unrevealed role.
Now, according to the Winnipeg Free Press, Adam Beach will be playing Slipknot, a DC Comics supervillain who is a master of ropes, having created nearly indestructible ropes that he uses in battle, and is a trained assassin. In the comics, the character was a member of the Suicide Squad, who got to see Amanda Waller’s dark side when he called her bluff on whether the bombs she implanted in each member of the team were real.
It’s worth noting that this site got the information from an anonymous source, so for now, we should take this with a grain of salt.
Suicide Squad stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Karen Fukuhara, Jim Parrack, Adam Beach, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, Viola Davis and Jared Leto, with David Ayer writing and directing. The film is scheduled to hit theaters August 5th, 2016.
