Review: AGENTS OF SHIELD 5×04: "A Life Earned"

When we last left our intrepid Agents, Daisy was captured! Jemma was a mute! And Coulson & co. we’re investigating! How could things possibly get worse for our heroes?
[Warning: The Following Contains SPOILERS for Agents of SHIELD 5×04.]

Daisy is now under Kasius’s ward (zing!) after Zeke sold her out. Zeke receives a valuable coin for his troubles, and promises Kasius to bring him Coulson & co. next. Daisy is taken to the Inhuman battle arena to show off her abilities; there she meets an Inhuman telepath who vs for family. Daisy tries to recruit him to get side, but he ain’t having it.

Meanwhile, Coulson gets a tip about some top secret stuff on Level 35 of the space station. Thinking it might provide some answers, and with Zeke in tow, the team hatch a plan to raid the level.

This episode turned out to be less plot heavy than the ones before it. Coulson & co’s storyline is grown bland and generic at this point, even with the added emotional beats. Daisy’s storyline is where it’s at in this episode, and one scene in particular between her, Jemma, and Kasius is VERY tense. Top that off with FREAKIN’ LEOPOLD FITZ *finally* showing up, and this was an episode stronger than the sum of its parts.
