RUMOR: Armie Hammer is Our Next BATMAN *UPDATED*

UPDATE 2/19/19: Yahoo! UK contributor Hanna Flint asked Armie Hammer during an interview if he had been approached for the job of Batman. He said he has not been approached by anyone who can actually give him the job, and has not been asked for his availability.

ORIGINAL STORY

All things considered, we didn’t have to wait too long. After Ben Affleck offically left the role of the Caped Crusader, speculation as to who would wear the tights have run ramped. Thankfully, we can put our think pieces to rest (even though they were fantastic). Our friends over at Revenge of the Fans have got the scoop on who will be the next Dark Knight.

Our good friend Mario Robles has just announced that Armie Hammer (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) is in final talks to star as the World’s Greatest Detective in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Hammer has been in the conversation for almost a year now. He was even cast as Batman in the canceled Justice League Mortal film.

Now, this isn’t official from Warner Bros. (yet) so we have to take this with a grain of salt. That said, if Mario says it’s practically a done deal; it has to be moving quickly. Armie Hammer is likely our next Bruce Wayne. For more news on The Batman and all things in the DC Cinematic Universe, stay tuned.
