Hops and Box Office Flops: ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE – Little Fish Stick and Big Tuna

    March 26, 2021 / 0 Comments

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a cinematic anomaly. When Snyder had to step away due to a family tragedy, Warner Bros. (WB) essentially hacked the material he left them to bits. Under the guidance of Joss Whedon, Snyder’s originally footage was morphed into a soulless attempt to capture the magic of the MCU. It didn’t work—a topic we explored in-depth on our Joss-Stache League episode. That film appealed to no one, but it particularly riled those faithful to Snyder’s vision. Thus, #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was born—a fan movement spawned from the betrayal many felt the studio had committed. Make no mistake, folks, this movie is a whole new beast. From Steppenwolf’s arc to Darkseid’s ominous presence to…

SHAZAM! Review – DC’s Answer to Deadpool

    March 23, 2019 / 0 Comments

One day, the foster kid Billy Batson gets the chance to prove himself to be more than just a boy when he gets the ability to transform into a hero using one word. But a problem arises when a powerful threat emerges that threatens both him and his family. Before the movie started, I and the rest of the audience that were attending the screening got told by the director David Sandberg told us movies that were influences for this project. These were The Goonies, Ghostbusters, and Superman: The Movie. After watching this project, you can see were, and they fit like a hand to a glove. The children are…

AQUAMAN 2 Release Date: December 2022

    February 27, 2019 / 0 Comments

We recently got news the screenwriter for Aquaman is returning for a sequel. There was no official green-lighting of the sequel, so no release-date had been set at the time. But fear not, the Aquaman 2 release date is set. Courtesy of Deadline, Aquaman 2 will be released December 16, 2022. Currently, none of the original’s cast is set to return, and neither is James Wan. With how successful Aquaman was, hopefully the cast all sees the sequel worth it and return. Wan has already said he is waiting to see if the script is perfect, so we will have to wait and see for him. Aquaman has crossed the…

RUMOR: Armie Hammer is Our Next BATMAN *UPDATED*

    February 18, 2019 / 0 Comments

UPDATE 2/19/19: Yahoo! UK contributor Hanna Flint asked Armie Hammer during an interview if he had been approached for the job of Batman. He said he has not been approached by anyone who can actually give him the job, and has not been asked for his availability. ORIGINAL STORY All things considered, we didn’t have to wait too long. After Ben Affleck offically left the role of the Caped Crusader, speculation as to who would wear the tights have run ramped. Thankfully, we can put our think pieces to rest (even though they were fantastic). Our friends over at Revenge of the Fans have got the scoop on who will…

Feature: Five Reasons for Robert Pattinson as Batman

    February 11, 2019 / 1 Comment

Last week I talked about Ben Affleck not being in the Matt Reeves directed Batman movie. Now that it’s official he won’t return, there’s rumors and fan casting going around for RobertĀ Pattinson as Batman. There’s many reasons he could be gold in the role, but here’s five. 1. Box Office Draw The first reason is his box office pull. Sure, he did the Twilight movies, and yes they ranged from okay to garbage. But they still made a ton of money, and that is something Warner Bros is aware of. You should never underestimate an actor’s Box Office draw. 2. Acting Prowess The second reason is his acting talents. Again,…
