OFFICIAL: The Double Turn Podcast Joins WOBAM Entertainment!
It’s not everyday we get a request to bring new content to WOBAM, and it’s rare for that talent’s passion for a topic to win you over completely. WOBAM is no stranger to wrestling content, but we’ve never fully embraced it as a staple. Pro Wrestling is full of the same tropes found in comics and superhero stories, both genres contain larger than life characters, and figures from the ring have graced the small and silver screens with growing frequency. As we seek to grow a platform where creators can share their passions with others and foster community, we are proud to announce that The Double Turn Podcast is joining…

OFFICIAL: Revenge of the Fans joins WOBAM Entertainment – THE FANBOY PODCAST, HOPS AND BOX OFFICE FLOPS, and more!
We used to joke in our group chat about buying Revenge of the Fans for $1. Mario-Francisco Robles never would have sold it, of course, and it was worth way more than a buck, but the thought was always amusing since we were something of a sister site. A lot has changed with our sites in the last couple years. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed everyday life, and many of us are in different places than we were a couple years ago. The landscape of geek journalism is ever changing too, with news being carried by larger sites and the rumor mill shifting towards Twitter. With these changing landscapes, new…

He paints a picture of an Arrowverse, Snyderverse, Titansverse, and Films universe that all work together in a logical way, and MFR reacts. Things then shift into thoughts on Marvel’s WandaVision, where things have finally kicked into a gear where MFR had to delve in and see what all the hype was about. What he found was the promising start of the next chapter in the Marvel saga. He also touches on the rumor that Tobey Maguire has officially signed on…

OFFICIAL: Changing of the Guard and New Horizons in 2021
This website’s been on one heck of a journey. What started in 2013 as a little blog called Watchtower of Babel has grown far more than I could have ever imagined. To date we’ve published nearly 4,000 articles, graduated college, started careers, gotten married, survived a shutdown, weathered a global pandemic, and somehow this little site has kept on going. I joined the old Watchtower crew in 2017, and people I’ve met here have become lifelong friends. The site we now know as WOBAM Entertainment draws its greatest strength from being a beacon where fans can express themselves with likeminded people. We shun toxic fandom and embrace being a platform…

DC Films‘ The Flash has taken an infamously long path in development hell. After multiple director changes, Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley signed on to direct last year. However, it may be one that results in a new actor taking the title role. Miller is now writing his own script for The Flash. Not only that, but he’s working on it with renown comic book writer Grant Morrison. Miller wants a darker take on the film, and he’s taking matters into his own hands to pursue that. Right…

James Gunn Returns as Director for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3
Last summer, writer-director James Gunn was fired from Marvel‘s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The decision was made after the resurfacing of old tweets, which contained a lot of offensive jokes. Disney‘s decision was met with much criticism. In fact, the Guardians of the Galaxy cast released an open letter supporting Gunn. Since then, Gunn moved to DC, signing on to write and direct The Suicide Squad. But now, Disney has reversed its decision. Gunn is set to return as director for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Why the change? Well, Disney chairman Alan Horn has met with Gunn multiple times after the firing, and he was impressed…

We have a couple of director updates in the world of comic book movies. Marvel Studios‘ Shang-Chi film has recruited a director as it hits the fast track. Hopefully, this means that Miller’s solo film will finally see the light of day; after many years of being stuck in the speed force.
