SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE Wins Golden Globe for Best Animated Movie

The 2019 Golden Globes took place last night, as a precursor to next month’s Academy Awards. At the event, one of 2018’s most acclaimed superhero movies took home a top prize.

Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won for Best Animated Motion Picture, beating competitors like Incredibles 2 and Isle of Dogs. This is the latest accolade for the film, which has earned rave reviews and solid box office results. Will the movie repeat at the Oscars next month? Let’s hope so.

In other news, Marvel’s Black Panther was nominated for a few categories, including the coveted Best Motion Picture – Drama. However, the film was snubbed completely, with the top category going to…Bohemian Rhapsody?
