    Review: TENET (2020)

    September 12, 2020 / 0 Comments

Christopher Nolan is a filmmaker who has had no shortage of ambition. Everything from his approach to big science fiction concepts (Inception, Interstellar) to reimagining Batman lore (The Dark Knight Trilogy) has been met with much success, both critically and financially. After visiting the World War II genre with 2017’s Dunkirk, Nolan returns to sci-fi with his latest outing, Tenet. Eventually, the pandemic led to Tenet being delayed a few times. However, with Nolan pushing to hold on to its 2020 release…

    Review: THE WAY BACK (2020)

    March 4, 2020 / 0 Comments

The Way Back is a sports drama that marks the reuniting of star Ben Affleck and director Gavin O’Connor, following their 2016 action movie The Accountant. In this movie, Affleck plays Jack Cunningham, a retired basketball player who takes on the role of coach for a new team. Along the way, Cunningham wrestles with alcoholism and trauma from his past. Gavin O’Connor has been a proven filmmaker in recent years. In addition to The Accountant, he directed 2011’s stellar Warrior. Here, he returns to the sports genre. The story for The Way Back is fairly straightforward, and it has many plot elements that are found in classic underdog tales. Despite…

Ezra Miller Writing His Own Script for THE FLASH; Could the Scarlet Speedster Be Recast?

    March 15, 2019 / 0 Comments

DC Films‘ The Flash has taken an infamously long path in development hell. After multiple director changes, Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley signed on to direct last year. Then we had productions delays due to scripting and Ezra Miller‘s schedule. The latest update takes the film into a…peculiar direction. However, it may be one that results in a new actor taking the title role. Miller is now writing his own script for The Flash. Not only that, but he’s working on it with renown comic book writer Grant Morrison. Miller wants a darker take on the film, and he’s taking matters into his own hands to pursue that. Right…

Fans of Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen have had a rough time in recent years. There has been a will they/won’t they scenario regarding the film’s production. Now, we have a report from Geeks World Wide that Warner Bros. is looking to kick off The Flash production later this fall. Hopefully, this means that Miller’s solo film will finally see the light of day; after many years of being stuck in the speed force. Outside of Ezra Miller, Kiersey Clemons is still attached to the role of Iris West, with Johnathon Goldstein and John Francis Daley still onboard for directing and writing duties.
