SPOILER REVIEW: Zack Snyder’s Justice League – A Genre Defining Masterpiece

    March 29, 2021 / 0 Comments

Zack Snyder's Justice League is a monumental achievement in superhero-movie history. It's the Lord of The Rings of comicbook movies. Plain and simple, so grand in scale but yet very character driven.

EDITORIAL: Why The Snyderverse Resonates With Me To This Day

    March 15, 2021 / 0 Comments

Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Two of my favorite superhero movies of all time. These two movies have been a big part of my life ever since Man of Steel was released in 2013. No, they are not bright, colorful, and filled with unnecessary jokes. But they took three of the most well-known superheroes in the world and broke them down so that they can be rebuilt to the moral standards and ideals that people commonly associate with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Yes, you are supposed to question Batmans actions in BvS, the fact that he seem to have dropped his moral code of…

    March 13, 2019 / 0 Comments

With Doom Patrol ongoing on DC’s streaming app and Swamp Thing is in pre-production some casting news has come out regarding Titans season two. And it’s a BIG one. The character was also featured on the big screen in the end credit-scene for Justice League by Joe Manganiello. Deathstroke is considered one of the deadliest assassins in the DC Universe and have fought the Teen…

AQUAMAN 2 Release Date: December 2022

    February 27, 2019 / 0 Comments

We recently got news the screenwriter for Aquaman is returning for a sequel. There was no official green-lighting of the sequel, so no release-date had been set at the time. But fear not, the Aquaman 2 release date is set. Courtesy of Deadline, Aquaman 2 will be released December 16, 2022. Currently, none of the original’s cast is set to return, and neither is James Wan. With how successful Aquaman was, hopefully the cast all sees the sequel worth it and return. Wan has already said he is waiting to see if the script is perfect, so we will have to wait and see for him. Aquaman has crossed the…

Matt Reeves Eyeing Actors In Their 20’s For The Role of BATMAN

    February 22, 2019 / 0 Comments

Playing Batman is one of the most sought after role in Hollywood. With Ben Affleck being out of the picture, and fancasting is in full force; we now have some clues to who will play The Dark Knight in Matt Reeves The Batman. According to a newsletter from The Hollywood Reporter, Matt Reeves is searching for an actor in his late 20’s. While he’ll be on the younger side, he is not a newbie-Batman a’la Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins or Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One and neither a veteran. We still have no definitive answer to who will play the role of Batman but a casting announcement shouldn’t be that far away?…

FEATURE: Five Shows We Want To See On DC Universe

    February 17, 2019 / 0 Comments

With Doom Patrol now airing on DC’s streaming service, I thought to myself what other properties would be a great fit for the DC Universe streaming service? I really do believe that superhero-properties fits better as TV-shows due to the serialized nature of the comic books. These are five shows we want on DCU! Justice League Dark This feels like a no-brainer to me, the short-lived Constantine series on NBC was really good in my opinion but sadly NBC cancelled it after just one season. The CW however retroactively weaved in Matt Ryan’s version of Constantine into the Arrowverse. With shorter seasons and a bigger budget, I really think that…

Feature: Five Reasons for Robert Pattinson as Batman

    February 11, 2019 / 1 Comment

Last week I talked about Ben Affleck not being in the Matt Reeves directed Batman movie. Now that it’s official he won’t return, there’s rumors and fan casting going around for Robert Pattinson as Batman. There’s many reasons he could be gold in the role, but here’s five. 1. Box Office Draw The first reason is his box office pull. Sure, he did the Twilight movies, and yes they ranged from okay to garbage. But they still made a ton of money, and that is something Warner Bros is aware of. You should never underestimate an actor’s Box Office draw. 2. Acting Prowess The second reason is his acting talents. Again,…
