AQUAMAN is Now the Biggest DC Movie in the World
Aquaman continues its reign at the box office, as it passes one more key milestone in the history of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment.
James Wan‘s underseas adventure has hit $1.09 billion worldwide. This puts it past The Dark Knight Rises ($1.085 billion) as the highest grossing DC movie ever. Yes, Aquaman is officially a bigger moneymaker than Batman. Who ever saw that coming?
Aquaman has currently made $316.6 million in North America and $774.2 million overseas. While it probably won’t pass Wonder Woman ($412.5 million) domestically, it’s only a few million away from surpassing Suicide Squad ($325.1 million) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($330.4 million).
These numbers secure Aquaman‘s franchise future, along with the DC brand as a whole. It can only be up from here.
Stay tuned for more updates as we have them.
