Christopher McQuarrie Addresses Potential to Direct MAN OF STEEL 2 or GREEN LANTERN CORPS

After the debacle that occurred when Christopher McQuarrie and Star Wars director Rian Johnson started a conversation on Twitter, the Mission: Impossible – Fallout director came out saying that he lost interest in doing a comic book movie. However, if a recent interview is any indicator, McQuarrie has changed his mind about the subject matter.

Talking to Screen Rant, he says “To me, I’m interested in a good story. That’s really what it is. I mean, when Man of Steel came up, it was because somebody had asked me, did I want to work with Henry [Cavill] again? Which I would in a second. I go through the door that opens.”

He later adds when they ask him about the notion of Tom Cruise maybe joining as Green Lantern. “You know, I got to say, Tom and I have never talked about it. We always kind of talk about what we’re working on or what we’re talking about working on next. I think, again, I think if you show them a good story, I think if you showed him a really emotional story, I don’t think, you know, it’s, I can never predict. I can never predict what it is he’s going to be drawn to.”

What do you think of the idea of Christopher McQuarrie joining The World of DC? If he does, what property do you want him to direct? Comment below and let us know or tweet at us at @WOBAMEnt.
