A lot is riding on Titans, the first of several original shows for DC Universe. The series is also the first live action incarnation of the Teen Titans team, while it will take a far more mature tone than your usual DC show. If there is anything DC fans were waiting for outside of the MARVEL-ous trailers that they showed, it was information about the upcoming streaming service, DC Universe, courtesy of Cnet. If you have $8 per month, then DC Universe might be something for you since they will give you access to a ton of comics, animated movies or tv shows. But if you aren’t into that, don’t you worry. DC Entertainment has finally shared some details on its upcoming streaming service, DC Universe. And based on the announcement, it sounds like a must for any DC fan. DC Universe will be anchored by original shows, beginning with this year’s Titans. 2019 will see the arrivals of four more shows – Young Justice: Outsiders, Harley Quinn, Swamp Thing, and Doom Patrol. Geoff Johns Shifting to New Role for Warner Bros. and DC; Will Write GREEN LANTERN CORPS Movie
Comic book writer Geoff Johns was appointed as DC Entertainment’s Chief Creative Officer in 2010, before being hired as a President in 2016. Today, Johns is exiting those roles, but that doesn’t mean he’s totally leaving Warner Bros. or DC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Johns has signed a new exclusive deal for writing and producing with WB and DC. As a result, he has stepped down from the roles of CCO and President at DC Entertainment. Replacing him in the former role is Jim Lee, who will continue to act as co-publisher alongside Dan DiDio. TITANS TV Series May Feature Jason Todd
DC’s Titans series will feature several fan-favorite characters, from the core Titans members to the Doom Patrol. Rumored characters also include Ra’s al Ghul and Bruce Wayne. Now, the latest report may reveal the inclusion of a key Batman supporting character. TitansTV has shared an alleged list of the first seven episode titles for Titans, and episode 7 is titled “Jason Todd.” If true, of course, this signifies the debut of Jason Todd himself. While we anxiously await the season premieres of Flash and Arrow, the third series in the DC/CW-Verse is adding a new member to their cast; Stephanie Corneliussen. A native of Denmark, Miss Corneliussen is a relative newcomer to acting, her first on camera role was in an uncredited role in 2013’s Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.
