The CW Developing VIXEN Animated Series Set In The World Of ARROW And THE FLASH
After the success of Arrow and groundbreaking prosperity of The Flash, there has been talk about other ways for The CW to expand its DC Universe. The network was considering adding a third DC television series last fall, while there has been talk of CBS’ Supergirl and/or TNT’s Titans being integrated into this world. And today, during The CW’s panel at the TCA Winter Press Tour, it has been confirmed that another iconic DC character will headline her own series. The twist? This is an animated series, rather than live action.
It has been confirmed that Vixen – who was a member of the likes of the Justice League and the Suicide Squad in the comics – will star in a digital animated series set in the world of Arrow and The Flash. The show will premiere this fall on The CW Seed initiative, and it is being overseen by Marc Guggenheim. Two pieces of promo art has also been released. The first features Vixen standing alongside The Arrow and The Flash, while the second offers a character description for Mari Jiwe McCabe. Check them out below, and stay tuned for more news on Vixen as we have it.
