Sony Sets IMAX Releases for SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME and MEN IN BLACK Spinoff
Following the box office success of Venom, Sony is strengthening its relationship with IMAX. The two companies have signed their first long-term collaboration, which will see the release of multiple Sony movies in IMAX theaters worldwide.
As part of the deal, IMAX will screen Spider-Man: Far From Home and the Men in Black spinoff next summer. The third Jumanji movie is also part of the deal.
IMAX Entertainment CEO Greg Foster shares his excitement for the deal, particularly for continuing the relationship with Marvel Studios on Spider-Man: Far From Home. “Spider-Man, in particular, is a Marvel movie, and we’re excited about continuing our relationship with Marvel. It’s been among the most fruitful relationships we’ve had with filmmakers. So it’s a win-win.”
Men in Black hits theaters on June 14th, with Spider-Man: Far From Home swinging in on July 5th.
