DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Casts its Jonah Hex
Since his debut in 1972’s All-Star Western #10, Jonah Hex has been a fan-favorite character in the DC universe, with his Old West roots providing a change of pace for the fantastic superhero fare usually published by DC Comics. After the first attempt to translate the character to live-action, 2010’s Jonah Hex, starring Josh Brolin, ended in abysmal failure, fans have been clamoring for the character to receive a second chance, and their wish has just been granted. Having previously been confirmed to appear in the eleventh episode of The CW’s third DC series Legends Of Tomorrow, spinning off from Arrow and The Flash, it has now been confirmed (via Variety)…

Another New Poster for SUICIDE SQUAD Gets Released
Suicide Squad isn’t just one of the more anticipated films based on a comic book coming out this year, it’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year in general, too. There’s a lot of intrigue surrounding Suicide Squad, which looks to shake things up a bit in the “comic book movie” genre by being a villain-centered picture rather than a hero-centered one. Several notable villains from the DC universe (including Joker and Harley Quinn) will be teaming-up Avengers-style, and with the clashing of differing personalities and big egos, it ought to be an entertaining picture. Plus, Ben Affleck will be making an appearance as Bruce Wayne/Batman. On Sunday, Suicide…

Recap: SUPERGIRL Season 1, Episode 10 “Childish Things”
Warning this review contains full spoilers. After Kara having to deal with her Aunt Astra, it was time another member of “Team Supergirl” dealt with family drama. It was pretty clear from the beginning that this would be a filler-type episode, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t entertaining. This week our main antagonist was the mad scientist, Toyman. Toyman is a classic Superman villain from the comics and turns out that he is the father of our friend Winn. Normaly Winn has been used as the comic relief in the series, but in this episode he was the emotional catalyst. The relationship between Winn and his father was a great…

DC Movie News Bits: New BATMAN V SUPERMAN Promo Art, Ben Affleck “Inspired” by Zack Snyder, More From Chris Pine on WONDER WOMAN
For a while now, Ben Affleck has been reportedly planning to direct the next Batman solo film. He said last year that his playing Batman would give him an idea on how to make a superhero movie, while he also said that he would love to helm a Batman movie – if he has the time and the right idea. Now, this topic has come up in yet another interview. Speaking with USA Today, Affleck is asked about possibly telling his own story in the DC Extended Universe, as well as whether that was a reason for him to play Batman. He simply states that he was “inspired” by Batman v…
