AQUAMAN Trailer Will Debut at San Diego Comic-Con Next Month
Fans have been wondering for a while when we’d get a first trailer for DC Films’ Aquaman. Now, we finally have confirmation – but get ready to wait a few more weeks. Director James Wan announced on Twitter that the Aquaman trailer will premiere at San Diego Comic-Con next month. The convention lasts from July 19th to July 22nd this year. Today, we have some new details on Marvel Studios’ next two films, why Jeff Wadlow’s X-Force didn’t happen, and confirmation of an Atomic Blonde sequel. Meanwhile, Jake Gyllenhaal addresses those Batman rumors. Literally every single Marvel Studios movie so far has been rated PG-13, and Avengers: Infinity War is no exception. AQUAMAN Casts Randall Park During Reshoots
DC Films’ Aquaman wrapped production last year, but the movie is currently in the final stages of reshoots. During these reshoots, it turns out that a new character has been added to the cast. Director James Wan announced on Twitter that actor Randall Park has joined Aquaman as Dr. Shin. In the comics, Dr. Stephen Shin is a scientist who is very knowledgeable of Atlantis, and he helps young Arthur Curry to develop his powers. He later betrays Arthur while trying to find the location of Atlantis. It’s unknown exactly how much of this will be adapted into the movie. WONDER WOMAN Composer Rupert Gregson-Williams Will Score AQUAMAN
Last year, composer Rupert Gregson-Williams created the score for DC Films’ Wonder Woman, putting out one of the most memorable superhero scores in recent memory. Now, the composer is returning to the DC Universe for his next project. According to Film Music Reporter, Gregson-Williams is set to score the Aquaman movie. The film takes us into the world of Atlantis, where Arthur Curry faces off against his half-brother Orm and other foes. Gregson-Williams is the second composer to tackle two DC Films; Hans Zimmer previously worked on Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. AQUAMAN Actor Talks James Wan’s Vision – “STAR WARS Underwater”
The first DC movie post-Justice League will be Aquaman, a solo adventure for Jason Momoa’s King of Atlantis. The film has been undergoing production for several months now, while a short San Diego Comic-Con presentation was held a few weeks ago. Now, one of the movie’s actors has offered some insight. Appearing on The Ara Show (via CBR), actor Ludi Lin talks about his role as Murk in Aquaman. Ben Affleck’s Batman will return in this fall’s Justice League, following his debut in last year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. While the vast majority of fans love Affleck as Batman, there was also a lot of controversy surrounding the character’s more brutal and morally questionable actions in Dawn of Justice. Fortunately, fans who took issue with that will likely be happy with the Dark Knight in Justice League. Director Doug Liman Elaborates on Why He Left JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK
After being attached for several months, director Doug Liman dropped out of DC Films’ Justice League Dark earlier this year. Originally, it was explained that there was a scheduling conflict, as Liman is prepping to shoot Chaos Walking. Turns out there was more to Liman’s decision than that.
