While Chris Pine is playing Steve Trevor in next year’s Wonder Woman – and likely other films in the DC Extended Universe – one role he has been rumored for for years was Green Lantern. Those rumors heated up last year, with Pine said to have had a choice between Green Lantern and Steve Trevor. He ended up landing the latter role, but was he ever in contention to play the Emerald Knight?
Speaking with Collider, Pine finally comments on the rumors that he was up for the role of Green Lantern. He says that he was not, denying that he was ever offered the part. “No. I was not offered Green Lantern ever, I’ve never had a conversation about Green Lantern.” So, there you have it.
