DC’s Legends of Tomorrow held its panel at the Television Critics Association tour yesterday, and the show’s cast and crew talked in detail (via Entertainment Weekly) about the highly anticipated spinoff.
One thing that was discussed was how frequently the show will crossover with The Flash and Arrow. Greg Berlanti says that there will obviously be some crossover, but there’s a twist. “It’s intermittent throughout. Because they’re a band of time traveling rogues, it’s harder for Arrow and Flash to be connected story wise to it throughout the season. That being said, if you know the histories of Arrow and Flash, it should be extra fun in its own way as we delve deeper and deeper into the characters lives.”
Unsurprisingly, the two shows’ titular heroes – Green Arrow and Flash – will appear on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow this season. Thanks to the show’s focus on time travel, we will be meeting younger and/older versions of both Oliver Queen and Barry Allen, Showrunner Phil Klemmer says, “We will have a couple marked crossover moments that hopefully will keep people satisfied.” Other Flash and Arrow characters set to appear on Legends include Black Canary, Damien Darhk, Ra’s al Ghul and Cisco Ramon.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow premieres Thursday, January 21st at 8 PM EST on The CW.
