Marvel Studios Has Plans for Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel
Marvel Studios is planning many films starring new characters after 2019’s Avengers 4. Currently, the studio has plans for the Eternals, Moon Knight and Nova, while a Black Widow movie is finally moving forward. Now, another character has been confirmed to join the MCU…eventually.
In a BBC interview, Marvel’s Kevin Feige reveals that a movie featuring the current Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan, is “definitely sort of” in the works, and the character will be introduced after the Captain Marvel film.

Created in 2013, Kamala Khan is a Muslim-American teenager with shapeshifting abilities. Inspired by Carol Danvers, she assumes the mantle of Ms. Marvel, now that Carol is Captain Marvel. Kamala later discovers that she is an Inhuman. She is the first Muslim superhero to headline her own book, and based on Feige’s comments, she’ll be the first to get her own movie.
