Hops and Box Office Flops: HULK – The Incredible Sulk
Ang Lee’s Hulk is ponderous—absurdly so—and mostly revolves around the gruesome father/son relationship between Bruce (Eric Bana) and David Banner (Nick Nolte). Reportedly, Lee wanted the film to evoke the weighty emotions of a Greek tragedy. It certainly does generate a palpable response, but it’s apathy. For a movie whose title character is a big, green, rage monster, the Hulk is seldom seen for the first hour. When he does show up, he’s relegated to fighting mutant poodles with a penchant for crotch attacks. Now, I’m not saying this movie wasn’t ambitious because it certainly was. Unfortunately, all its aspirations are for naught; and it all amounts to little more than odd familial drama…

5 MCU Characters Who Should Join the New Avengers (and 5 Who Should Not)
With Marvel Studios concluding the Infinity Saga with last year’s Avengers: Endgame, fans have anticipated what the universe’s future will hold. Specifically, there has been much speculation over the future of the Avengers team. Endgame definitively wrapped up almost every original member’s story, while recent movies have introduced many new heroes. However, Marvel has understandably been quiet about future Avengers movies. The Legacy of THE AVENGERS
Superheroes have been around for almost 100 years. They are the American gods, mythology created to inspire and to entertain with their legend. Superman taking to the skies, showing us how to be our best self. Batman clinging to the darkness, showing that our imperfections are what make us who we are. These new gods have shaped fiction in the 20th century, so it’s only fitting that they also change the world of film. Superman made us believe that a man could fly. Batman showed us how to dance with the devil. Still, even with Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man and 20th Century Fox’s X-Men, we never really saw the comics reach…

REVIEW: HULK (2003)
Hulk(2003)Directed By: Ang Lee Hulk(2003) is the first live action movie that brings the famous green avenger to the big screen. Unfortunately, it sorely does Hulk a true injustice. Hulk is a hidden marvel of a superhero. He’s an extraordinary scientist and doctor as Bruce Banner, who in a mishap with radiation is mutated into an enormous green monster, with super human strength that can increase depending on his rage. He’s a hero in both realms of superherodom and in nuclear research. With most story lines however, the transformation from scientist to Hulk greatly limits his communication skills, and sometimes intelligence as the green giant. I will give Ang Lee tons…

It’s sequel, Thor: The Dark World, made $85MM in its first weekend, and hauled in a solid $206 million in its entire run domestically.
