Welcome to the latest round of Movie News Bits. Today, we have some updates on a couple Marvel-based movies, a DC movie update, and some tidbits on the animation front. It was recently revealed that a new Supergirl movie is in the works at Warner Bros. and DC Films. Now, we know what type of director they’re looking for. Unsurprisingly, the studio is keen on hiring a female filmmaker to tackle this project. Welcome back to another edition of Movie News Bits! Today, we’re talking about Valiant Comics! First up, we have some news that Sony is developing a Faith superhero movie. The “Faith” comics center around a regular geeky teenager named Faith Herbert, who’s obsessed with comics and science fiction, and has the powers of telekinesis and flight. Lamorne Morris has been cast in Bloodshot, for the role of Wilfred Wigans! Wigans is a young scientist, who becomes Bloodshot’s unlikely ally. Morris joins Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Talulah Riley, Alex Hernandez, and Toby Kebbell. Quantico star Priyanka Chopra is in talks to join Universal’s Cowboy Ninja Viking, starring Chris Pratt and directed by Michelle MacLaren.
