For a while, there has been some back-and-forth on whether or not Ben Affleck will play Batman again after Justice League. Originally, he sounded enthusiastic about it, but more recently has cooled down on the idea. The latest report suggests that Affleck will appear in Flashpoint, but director Matt Reeves wants to cast a new actor for The Batman. It’s been speculated that the change in actors will take place in Flashpoint, as it’s been reported that Warner Bros. will explain Affleck’s exit in an upcoming movie (something Affleck himself is interested in). Basically, it looks like Affleck’s days as Batman are numbered. It’s unclear if Reeves wants to cast…

AQUAMAN Director James Wan Says There’s Only One Main Antagonist
DC Films’ Aquaman will feature three of the character’s enemies: Orm/Ocean Master, Black Manta, and King Nereus. Fans speculated that all three villains would be the main antagonists in the movie, not unlike Spider-Man 3. Fortunately, that isn’t the case. Director James Wan clarifies to Entertainment Weekly, saying that the movie doesn’t actually have three main villains. “This is what I’ll say: I don’t have three villains. I think that’s ridiculous! I would never go into an origin movie with three villains. We don’t even know the main character let alone the world and its antagonist. I believe in taking baby steps.” That antagonist is Orm, played by Patrick Wilson.…

JUSTICE LEAGUE: How Will Clark Kent’s Return Be Explained? Henry Cavill Weighs In
Following his death in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel was resurrected in Justice League. Not only is he back in the red and blue suit, but the ending also saw him back at the Daily Planet, glasses and all. Clark Kent was declared dead at the same time as Superman (Clark even had an open casket funeral), so for both of them to return at the exact same time is a little…strange, isn’t it? How would they explain that to the public in the next film? Speaking at ACE Comic Con (via ComicBook), Cavill says that the next movie would address how Clark is…

Disney Announces Agreement to Acquire 21st Century Fox's Film Studio and More
A few weeks ago, it was reported that 21st Century Fox was looking to sell most of its assets, including its film studio. The Walt Disney Company emerged as the top contender to acquire the studio. Now, the deal has been announced. Disney has confirmed that it will acquire most of Fox’s assets, with its transaction value being a whopping $66.1 billion. The deal will close in 12-18 months. Since this is such a huge acquisition, it is going to need congressional approval before it can be finalized, similar to the ongoing AT&T/Time Warner merger. The 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight, and Fox 2000 studios are being brought under the…
