TITANS Series Casts its Raven
Casting is now underway for Titans, the new live action series that will launch DC’s digital streaming service alongside Young Justice: Outsiders. The series, which unites several of DC’s younger heroes, is written by Akiva Goldsman, Greg Berlanti, and Geoff Johns. Today, the show has cast its first team member: Raven.
According to Deadline, newcomer Teagan Croft has landed the role of Rachel Roth, aka Raven. The character is a series regular in Titans, which shouldn’t be surprising. In the show, Raven “is a powerful empath who must keep her emotions in check or risk unleashing her demonic side.” Oh, and she’s the daughter of a demon. This demon we assume?
Titans will serve as Raven’s first live action appearance, following a long history of animated adaptation. With filming expected to begin next month, stay tuned for more casting announcements.
Titans will premiere sometime next year on DC’s streaming service.
