As you might have guessed, the show explores the origin of Alfred Pennyworth, the Wayne family’s butler. Review: SUPERMAN/BATMAN: APOCALYPSE
After the events of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies we have a new adventure for our heroes. This film is the origin of Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl. We also team up with Wonder Woman and Big Barda to take down Darkseid. Talk about going big for a sequel! So how does this all come together? Well, let’s find out. The film has a loose connection to Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, but there’s nothing really tying the two together. We see a ship flying through Gotham City and Batman (Kevin Conroy) investigating. We find that the ship was carrying Kara Zor-El (Summer Glau), Superman’s (Tim Daly) cousin. Batman and Wonder Woman (Susan Eisenberg) are not…

Welcome to our latest installment of Movie News Bits. Today, we have some new details on Marvel Studios’ next two films, why Jeff Wadlow’s X-Force didn’t happen, and confirmation of an Atomic Blonde sequel. Meanwhile, Jake Gyllenhaal addresses those Batman rumors. Literally every single Marvel Studios movie so far has been rated PG-13, and Avengers: Infinity War is no exception. The MPAA (via BoxOfficeMojo) gave its rating for “intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action throughout, language and some crude references.” Sci-fi violence and language are in these movies non-stop, so that’s not surprising. Crude references? Hmm…maybe a middle finger or something? Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit theaters…

Review: BATMAN FOREVER Soundtrack
Some record executive at Warner Bros. must have finished off the last of the cocaine from the eighties that was in the office while he was coming up with the concept for this album. The Batman Forever (1995) soundtrack is a unique time capsule into how corporate conglomerates used their film and music subsidiaries to promote each other during the nineties. This record should’ve been an absolute disaster, but by some miracle it doesn’t wind up being half bad. The soundtrack sold almost as many copies as Prince’s Batman (1989) soundtrack. That’s largely due to the fact the artists featured on this album were at the top of…

Retrospective Review: BATMAN Soundtrack by Prince
Batman and Prince go together shockingly well. The Batman character and Prince’s music and public persona are complete opposites yet somehow Prince was able to make an entire hit album to go along with the 1989 film. Batman (1989) is a true testament to how talented Prince was. It’s been nearly thirty years since the Batman film and album were released. In the thirty years since dozens of superhero films have been released. Their success at the box office and their success with critics has overshadowed Batman to point where it has become an afterthought in most people’s minds. The Dark Knight trilogy has replaced the Batman films of…
