FEATURE: Ten Ideas For Potential DC Television Shows
Over the past few months, DC Entertainment has announced a slew of new television shows based on its properties. The CW is developing The Flash (a spin-off of Arrow), iZombie, Hourman and reportedly Young Justice, while NBC is working on Constantine and Fox has a Gotham series in the works. Of course, there’s no stopping there, and other characters are likely being considered for their own series. Below, I’ve listed ten ideas for potential television shows that can be considered by DC. *Note: With one minor exception, I wanted this list to have different characters from my last feature, which listed ten possible low budget movies from DC. Deadman A couple…

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Producer Talks Wonder Woman And Ben Affleck’s Casting
After working with Zack Snyder on 300, Watchmen and Man of Steel, Wesley Coller will also be involved with the director’s next film, Batman vs. Superman. In an interview with mLive, the producer discusses the controversial casting of Ben Affleck as Batman, reaffirming that the actor-director is perfect for Snyder’s take on the character. “Because we’ve historically done fan favorite fare – ‘Watchmen,’ we remade ‘Dawn of the Dead’ … – I’ve developed a pretty good perspective on this. “Anything you do that’s culturally significant, or any time you deal with an iconic character or story, you’re going to hear responses from every possible perspective. So nothing surprises me anymore. If…

Additionally, Wilkinson offers an update on the process of creating the costumes. “We are now in the stage where we’re refining our designs with the last series of camera tests and doing our final tweaks in preparation for shooting.” He adds that he feels, “honored and tremendously excited to be involved with a project whose iconic characters…

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: Amy Adams Comments On Backlash Against Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman Casting
When Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman earlier this month, the announcement received plenty of backlash from fans – not unlike the reactions to Ben Affleck’s casting as the Dark Knight. The most common complaint claimed that the Fast & Furious 6 actress was too thin to play the character. This is a rather ludicrous statement, as anyone who is cast in a major action role has to get into shape. Director Zack Snyder is also known for getting his actors into proper shape; 300 and Man of Steel are proof of that. Meanwhile, we have first comments from one of Gadot’s Batman vs. Superman…

Evangeline Lilly Considered Playing WONDER WOMAN, Presumably For Joss Whedon’s Movie
Back in 2005, when Warner Bros. was developing a Wonder Woman movie with writer-director Joss Whedon, one of the actresses rumored to be in contention for the titular role was Lost star Evangeline Lilly. She was even said to have been cast in the role, but that was denied. Now, speaking with MTV, Lilly confirmed that she did take a meeting for the role, but didn’t say that it was for Whedon’s film. “I actually went in and met on Wonder Woman at one point. Before the thing fell apart. That was early, that was first season of ‘LOST’ before I went, wait a minute, I don’t know if I want…

ARGO Scribe Chris Terrio To Rewrite David S. Goyer’s BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Script
Those who were disappointed with David S. Goyer’s script for Man of Steel will be happy with this news. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar winning scribe Chris Terrio (Argo) will rewrite the current Batman vs. Superman script and will provide a new draft. Terrio – who was no doubt brought on board by star Ben Affleck – is said to be getting the script into shape in time for the planned February start date. Goyer is apparently too busy to do so himself, as he is attached to a slew of DC movies (such as the recently announced Sandman). This move makes sense, as Terrio has a strong relationship with…
