Lucy Lane Coming to SUPERGIRL
Yesterday, we reported that the producers of Supergirl were expanding her universe to include other powered heroes. Today we have a possible candidate. TVLine is reporting today that Lucy Lane will be introduced in episode three. Lucy Lane is the younger sister of world-famous reporter, Lois Lane. Lucy was introduced in Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen issue thirty-six in 1959. At the time, she was an airline stewardess with an on-again/off-again romance with Jimmy. In 1986, she was reintroduced in John Bryne’s Man of Steel issue five as an air traffic controller. ARROW Producers Tease Season Four; Green Lantern Appearance “Unlikely”
The Hollywood Reporter recently spoke with the cast and crew of Arrow, regarding what to expect from the show’s fourth season. First up, executive producer Marc Guggenheim would not confirm or deny if the Birds of Prey would be forming. The show has already introduced members such as Black Canary, Huntress and Katana, making this a fair possibility. SUPERGIRL Producers Plan to Expand Her Universe With Other DC Superheroes
With Supergirl still months away from premiere and filming for season one beginning next week the team behind the scenes are well underway in the heroic task of building her universe. The reporters at Den of Geek were able to sit down with Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter during San Diego Comic Con and discuss their plans for Supergirl. Last week, Warner Bros. premiered the epic three-and-a-half minute trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice at San Diego Comic-Con, followed by an online release. However, a condensed version of this trailer is also being screened in theaters this weekend with Marvel’s Ant-Man. And now, IMAX has released the recut trailer online. Essentially, it is the exact same thing as the Comic-Con trailer, but without a few scenes and lines of dialogue. Also, the shot where Wonder Woman is slammed against a wall is extended by a second. DC TV Casting Bits: ARROW Finds its Anarky While GOTHAM Adds Silver St. Cloud
Earlier today, it was announced that Arrow had cast actor Echo Kellum as Mister Terrific, in a season four recurring role. Now, we know who will be playing the villanous Anarky. According to Comic Book Resources, Bates Motel actor Alexander Calvert has been cast as Lonnie Machin, who will make his debut in episode two of the season. The show’s take on Anarky is described as “a deranged freelancing criminal who is willing to do whatever it takes to impress a potential employer.” Arrow marks the character’s live action debut. According to Kotaku Australia – Batman: Arkham Knight won’t be available for PC users until the spring (Australian spring starts in September). Leaked emails from EB Games staff members suggest that this is the case. Echo Kellum Cast as Mister Terrific in ARROW Season Four
At San Diego Comic-Con last week, the producers of Arrow confirmed that Mister Terrific will be one of the new characters introduced in season four. This version of the character will be homosexual, and he will be working with Felicity Smoak. Now, we know who will be playing him. According to Entertainment Weekly, Ben and Kate actor Echo Kellum is set to play Mister Terrific, aka Curtis Holt. In an episode of The Flash last season, you may remember that the name “Al Rothstein” was one of those who seemingly died during the particle accelerator explosion. Rothstein is the alter ego of Atom-Smasher, depicted as a hero in the comics. One of the several animated LEGO spin-offs in the works at Warner Bros. will star Batman, voiced by Will Arnett. This parody of the iconic superhero was possibly the most memorable character in The LEGO Movie. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that he’s getting his own film.
