Saïd Taghmaoui Offers New Details on His WONDER WOMAN Role
The other day, French actor Saïd Taghmaoui shared a couple set photos from Wonder Woman, revealing his involvement in the DC Comics adaptation. While production hasn’t been officially announced yet, other evidence suggests that the film is indeed shooting now in the UK – or is very close to it. Taghmaoui deleted the set photos from his social media pages after they went viral, but the actor is still open about his role in the movie. Speaking with Ultra magazine (transcription via Batman-News), Taghmaoui revealed that he will be playing a “superhero” in Wonder Woman. “I’ll be playing a superhero, but details are still under wraps. CBS Swaps Episodes 4 and 5 of SUPERGIRL Following Paris Attacks
Following the appalling terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, CBS is pulling a couple of terrorism-centered episodes that were previously scheduled to air tomorrow. One of these episodes is Supergirl. Episode four of Supergirl, titled “How Does She Do It?”, would have seen Kara dealing with bombings in National City. In its place tomorrow night, CBS will air the “Livewire” episode, which will see Kara’s mother paying a visit and the debut of DC villain Livewire. On November 9th, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer, Geoff Johns made a pair of tweets; one a photo from a location in Ricksmanworth, England and the other “@PattyJenks It’s THE DAY!“ Both could be dismissed as playful subterfuge on Johns’ part, however this is more concrete. We are now very close to the start of production for Wonder Woman, which will be directed by Patty Jenkins. WRATH OF THE TITANS Scribe Rewriting AQUAMAN Movie
After being announced last year, Warner Bros.’ Aquaman movie is set to be directed by Furious 7 helmer James Wan for a July 2018 release. Jason Momoa stars as the King of Atlantis, with Kurt Johnstad writing the script. Johnstad was previously in contention with Will Beall to put out an Aquaman draft, as the film was being developed on a dual track. Now, another writer has been hired. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wrath of the Titans scribe David Leslie Johnson is set to rewrite Aquaman. He is working with Wan to “streamline” the DC Comics adaptation. With pre-production for Justice League: Part One beginning in a couple of months, casting news is heating up. Today, Heroic Hollywood is reporting that Mera (aka “The Queen of Atlantis”) will make her cinematic debut in the film due out just over two years from now; November 17, 2017. This addition would mean Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) wouldn’t be the only heroine in the superhero team-up film featuring the biggest heroes from DC Comics. We are only three weeks away from the annual two-part crossover event for The CW’s two DC shows, The Flash and Arrow.
