This ARROW Character is Appearing in the LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season Finale
The second season finale for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is now entering its last week of production. To celebrate executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared a list of the episode’s cast on Twitter. The list features the show’s main cast, along with the Legion of Doom and a few other guest stars (J.R.R. Tolkien?!). But most interestingly, it confirms the presence of a key Arrowverse character in the episode, which is titled “Aruba.” Guggenheim previously teased this inclusion in an interview. So, who is it? TEEN TITANS: THE JUDAS CONTRACT Release Date and Blu-Ray Specs Announced
We recently saw the first trailer for the next animated DC film, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. Now, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced the details on this home video release. The movie will be available for digital download on April 4th, with the Blu-Ray and DVD releasing on April 18th. The Blu-Ray will have a bunch of bonus features, including a first look at the next DC title, Batman and Harley Quinn. THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Retains the #1 Spot in its Second Weekend
The LEGO Batman Movie opened last week with a $53 million debut. While it was lower than some predictions, this is still a very good figure for the animated spin-off, and it gave it the #1 spot at the domestic box office. Now, the film is in its second weekend, and it continues to retain its crown. Via The Hollywood Reporter, LEGO Batman has grossed an estimated $34.2 million over the three day weekend. Funko Reveals First Looks at New WONDER WOMAN, JUSTICE LEAGUE and BATMAN ’66 Products
Funko is among the toy brands making their presence known at New York Toy Fair 2017 this weekend, and the company has unveiled some of this year’s hotly anticipated DC products. First up, the Wonder Woman movie will be represented by a series of Pop! figures. The figures are of Wonder Woman, Steve Trevor, and Queen Hippolyta. DC Collectibles Reveals JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie Statues
New York Toy Fair 2017 is going on this weekend, and toy companies are offering first looks at some upcoming projects. Amongst them is DC Collectibles, who has unveiled a line of six statues based on the upcoming Justice League movie (via Yahoo! Movies). Each statue is 12 inches tall, will cost $150, and will have 5,000 copies. They will be released later this year to coincide with the film’s release, but they are on display at NYTF now. Matt Reeves No Longer in Talks to Direct THE BATMAN
Last week, War for the Planet of the Apes‘ Matt Reeves entered talks to replace Ben Affleck as director of The Batman. Reeves was reportedly committed to tackling the DC film, and it was expected that negotiations would go well. However, it looks like they didn’t. According to The Hollywood Reporter, negotiations for Reeves to direct The Batman have broken down. However, the site suggests that talks could resume at a later point. LIGHTS OUT Director in Talks to Helm SHAZAM Movie
New Line Cinema has been developing a Shazam movie for a while now. Dwayne Johnson had been attached to play villain/antihero Black Adam. Earlier this year, it was announced that Johnson’s Black Adam is getting his own movie, and he is no longer expected to appear in Shazam. Nevertheless, it looks like Billy Batson’s first feature film is about to lock down a director. According to The Wrap, Lights Out director David F. Sandberg is in talks to tackle Shazam.
