New INJUSTICE 2 Trailer Teases More of the Story, Various Editions for the Game Announced
With the release of Injustice 2 now under 4 months away, NetherRealm Studios has unveiled a new trailer for the game that hints more of its story. While this new trailer for the sequel to 2013’s DC Comics fighter doesn’t give any gameplay footage, it does tease a few of the battles that will occur including Batman vs. Robin and Wonder Woman vs. Supergirl, while also confirming that Brainiac will be the game’s main villain. And if you stuck around till the very end of the trailer, you’ll have seen the “post-credits stinger” of sorts, which reveals that Darkseid will be available as a playable character for those that pre-order the…

THE FLASH: Andrew Kreisberg Teases Gorilla Grodd’s Return
(Tries not to make a Harambe joke.) Back January, The Flash executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Collider that he would like to see the next chapter of Gorilla Grodd’s story get told in a multi-episode arc on the show. “I would liken the Gorilla City thing to Ra’s al Ghul. You know, you hear about ‘the man from nanda part’ in [Arrow] Season 1, and ‘the man who showed Malcolm the way,’ and then you met Nyssa, then in Season 3 you met Ra’s. So, it’s a long-term thing.” Today at the Television Critics Association press tour, Kreisberg revealed that his wishes have come true. “Yes, we’re going to be doing a…

THE FLASH and SUPERGIRL Musical Two-Parter Announced
With Supergirl now at The CW for its second season, the network is moving forward with furthering their ambitions to have Kara Zor-El team-up with The Flash and possibly Arrow (both of which are also CW shows) more often. Supergirl and The Flash have already shared an episode together, with Barry making an appearance on Supergirl‘s “Worlds Finest” episode last season on CBS, while Kara has yet to meet Green Arrow in DC’s television universe (though that’ll soon change). Today, during the Television Critics Association summer press tour, it was announced a two-part crossover episode of Supergirl and The Flash will be coming this upcoming Fall TV season. However, it’s not exactly the…

Review: BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE
Hey folks, welcome to the first day of our “10 Days of Suicide Squad” special! Today, John has a review of the brand new DC animated film Batman: The Killing Joke, which is based on the New York Times bestselling graphic novel of the same name from 1988. Considered by many to be one of the best Batman stories out there, does this 72-minute feature film do its source material justice, or is it a disappointment? Let me stop right there. I actually haven’t read the graphic novel. I know. Please forgive me. But I would still like to share my thoughts of the film with you. And maybe you’ll like…

Willem Dafoe Joins JUSTICE LEAGUE
The cast of Justice League has just gotten even more impressive. THR is reporting Willem Dafoe has been cast in DC’s superhero team-up film. It is unclear at this time who Dafoe is playing, but THR believes he’ll be playing a good guy who’ll have a role in both Justice League: Part One and Justice League: Part Two. This is a pretty exciting casting as Dafoe has tons of acting experience under his belt with over 100 acting credits to his name, with his role as the villainous Green Goblin in 2002’s Spider-Man perhaps being his most noteworthy. Dafoe will be joining a stacked cast including Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman),…

Review: MAN OF STEEL
If you know me by following me on Twitter, you’d know I love Man of Steel. I’ve been in love with it ever since I saw it on June 14, 2013 (the day it came out), and have continued to defend it to this day. In case you didn’t know because you’ve been living under a rock the past three years, Man of Steel is one of the most divisive films to come out this decade. It either lived up to your expectations or it disappointed you heavily. Man of Steel lived up to my expectations; and then some. In Man of Steel, the planet of Krypton is on the verge…

Review: SUPERMAN RETURNS
While it has its fair share of fans, Superman Returns has been met with a lot “mehs” from people. I can totally understand where the latter group comes from, but for me, this is a pretty good Superman film. While Lex Luthor plots to destroy him once and for all, the Man of Steel returns after a long absence to a much-changed world. Lois Lane has moved on with her life, and society has learned to survive without him. Superman must find a way to reconnect with her and find his place in a world that may no longer need him. Superman Returns isn’t really an action film. There’s no…

Review: BATMAN & ROBIN
There aren’t many people out there that genuinely think Batman & Robin is a good movie. There are, however, a lot of people that find it so bad that it’s good. I’m one of those people. This movie sucks. It wants to be a cool Batman movie, but it instead is an unintentional comedy complete with laughable character portrayals and cringe-worthy one-liners. Our story finds Batman (George Clooney) and his sidekick Robin (Chris O’Donnell) taking on Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger), Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman), and Bane (Jeep Swenson) as Mr. Freeze attempts to freeze over Gotham City. In the opening scene, our titular heroes suit up. Director Joel Schumacher takes the…

The company enthusiastically announced that Grant Gustin’s The Flash (currently on The CW) will be making an appearance on an episode of Supergirl, airing on CBS on March 28th. While plot details regarding this episode are currently being kept under wraps, we do know when to expect the episode, and which channel will be the host of this crossover. The Flash and Supergirl executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg expressed their excitement to have Barry Allen and Kara Zor-El share an episode together: “We are so incredibly excited to announce…
