It’s finally here! After Batman vs. Superman director Zack Snyder teased a reveal of the new Batmobile yesterday, he has now shared a new promotional image featuring the vehicle. Far more important, though, is that it unveils our first look at the highly anticipated Batman suit, donned by Ben Affleck. As expected, it looks very close to the comic book version, more so than any other cinematic Batman costume to date. From the enlarged Bat-symbol and shorter ears to Affleck’s muscles and cowl-ready chin, it’s hard to fault this design.
Now that Batman has been revealed, official looks at Henry Cavill’s new Superman suit, as well as Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman garb, are expected to be unveiled soon. Production is set to start within the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
Batman vs. Superman is scheduled to hit theaters May 6th, 2016. A follow-up to Man of Steel, the next installment in the DC Cinematic Universe stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Holly Hunter, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne. Zack Snyder directs from a script by David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio.
