Fox Sets Premiere Date for THE GIFTED

Following the success of FX’s Legion, Marvel Television is bringing another X-Men-related story to the small screen. Fox’s The Gifted tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Now, we have a premiere date. Fox (via TV Line) has confirmed that The Gifted will premiere on Monday, October 2nd at 9 PM EST, following the season premiere of Lucifer. It’s unknown what the episode count for the series is; a while back, showrunner Matt Nix expressed interest in a 12-13 episode season, rather than the typical 22+ episodes. But, again, that’s yet to be confirmed.
