DC Announces SUPERGIRL/THE FLASH Crossover Episode

DC has just released via Twitter a rather big bit of news regarding a couple of their shows that are currently on air.

The company enthusiastically announced that Grant Gustin’s The Flash (currently on The CW) will be making an appearance on an episode of  Supergirl, airing on CBS on March 28th.

While plot details regarding this episode are currently being kept under wraps, we do know when to expect the episode, and which channel will be the host of this crossover.

The Flash and Supergirl executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg expressed their excitement to have Barry Allen and Kara Zor-El share an episode together: “We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl —The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up! We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros., and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

With this bit of news, fans will inevitably be wondering if a Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen (Arrow), who’s already appeared on The Flash, will share an episode with Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl in the future. We don’t know the strength of that possibility, but if Barry Allen can make it to National City, why can’t Oliver Queen?

Are you excited to see the Scarlet Speedster make an appearance on Supergirl?
