Review: YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS Episodes 4-6
We will be reviewing the episodes of Private Security, Away Mission, and Rescue Op. This is your spoiler warning. After a very bleak premiere, Young Justice decided to get back to its more humorous side. Episode four could be considered a filler episode. It focuses on Dick tracking down stolen VR headsets with the help of Bow Hunter Security. The team consists of Roy Harper. All of the Roy Harpers. This episode is pure cheese, and I love every second of it. They have to stop Brick and his thugs, and it is a fun ride. Dick is avoiding his responsibilities. He creates a team for this rescue mission in the…

Ruby Rose’s Batwoman made her debut in the three-part “Elseworlds” Arrowverse crossover on The CW. In that story, Green Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl travel to Gotham City to confront Dr. John Deegan over his changes to reality. Along the way, they meet Kate Kane, aka Batwoman, who has become Gotham’s new vigilante after the mysterious disappearance of Batman (and Bruce Wayne). Before “Elseworlds,” it was reported that The CW had plans for a Batwoman spinoff series. Now, it’s moving forward. The CW has issued an official pilot order for Batwoman, written by Caroline Dries (The Vampire Diaries). David Nutter will direct; he previously helmed the pilots for Smallville, Arrow, and…

To announce the date, Netflix released a promo trailer featuring Frank Castle and returning foe Billy Russo, who has a new look after his facial injuries in season one. Review: AQUAMAN TV Pilot
A Little Background This TV pilot was developed off of the hype surrounding Smallville‘s episode “Aqua”. In that episode, Alan Ritchson played Arthur Curry who was trying to prevent the development of a Luthor Corp weapon. The character was enormously popular with the creators of Smallville seeing the feedback and the potential. They decided to develop a new series for the man from Atlantis, but not a spin-off of Smallville. Hence the reasoning behind having a different actor (Justin Hartley) than Alan Ritchson. This pilot is referred by some as Mercy Reef. Let me go ahead and tell you what I thought now. I did not appreciate this pilot. I think it’s because I’ve seen Smallville, and…

Five Predictions for The CW’s CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS
Following this year’s Elseworlds, The CW is prepping for its biggest Arrowverse crossover yet in 2019’s Crisis on Infinite Earths. Based on the comic of the same name, this is the event that the shows have been building up to for years. The comic saw the deaths of iconic heroes, the merging of worlds, and so much more. We have a year to speculate exactly how the Arrowverse will tackle this story. The story is expected to see Green Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl – likely alongside allies like Batwoman and the Legends – face off against the fearsome Anti-Monitor. Today, we have five predictions for what will go down. [Warning:…

Review: TIGER & BUNNY
In the world of Tiger and Bunny, you are only allowed to be a superhero if you get the most views, fandom points, as well as a sponsorship that sponsor you. In this story, we follow the hero Wild Tiger, an aging superhero that is close to losing his sponsor and therefore his job. One day, his heroic life changes when his employers forced him to get a crimefighting partner. This anime is what would happen if X-Men and The Boys had a lovechild (although not as graphic or violent). It tackles the question of what’s right and what’s wrong, self-identity and all that jazz, and every answer they have…

Next Year’s Arrowverse Crossover Will Adapt CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS
The CW wrapped up its “Elseworlds” crossover event last night, concluding an insane story that sees The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl join forces. Without spoiling anything, the event lays the groundwork for next year’s crossover, and now, we know what it will be called. This is the big one, guys. Next fall, The CW will air the crossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” based on the comic of the same name. “Crisis” is one of the biggest DC events in history, popularizing the concept of major crossover events in comics. It pits DC’s heroes against the fearsome Anti-Monitor, who seeks to destroy the Multiverse. The story is known for iconic…
