THE PUNISHER Season 2 Gets a Premiere Date and First Promo Trailer
Marvel’s The Punisher was a hit on Netflix back in 2017, with a second season being ordered shortly afterwards. Now, marketing has finally begun, as Netflix has announced the premiere date for season two. Spoiler: It’s going to be very soon.
The Punisher season two will be released on Friday, January 18th. To announce the date, Netflix released a promo trailer featuring Frank Castle and returning foe Billy Russo, who has a new look after his facial injuries in season one.
The new season comes at a time where Netflix’s Marvel future is looking incredibly bleak. Last year, the company cancelled Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Daredevil. This only leaves The Punisher and Jessica Jones with new seasons this year. And if the current track record is any indication, this will be the last time we see Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle.
