Retrospective: THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN
Spider-Man is one of the most popular characters in all of fiction. He’s the mascot of Marvel and a part of the big three superheroes, alongside both Batman and Superman. So, like Superman and Batman, he had an amazing, no spectacular animated series. We’ve talked about Batman: The Animated Series and touched on Superman: The Animated Series so now let’s focus on our favorite teen hero. We’ll be taking a look back at the Spectacular Spider-Man. Spectacular focus on Peter Parker’s life in high school. He’s been Spider-Man for about six months at the start of the first episode. He’s not in his prime yet, but he’s also not a…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 5×08- “What’s Past is Prologue”
The Flash (5×08)- “What’s Past is Prologue” 100th Episode Written by: Todd Helbing & Lauren Certo Directed by: Tom Cavanagh In case you’re unaware of the significance, traditionally when shows reach one hundred episodes they are made available to syndication meaning that local stations can buy the rights to previous seasons to air locally. Traditionally this is where a lot shows become truly profitable to the studio as most shows ride that razor’s edge between success and cancelation. What this means in this age of seasons going up on Netflix as the shows go along is unclear to me but that’s not why you came here. Speaking of tradition, most shows mark the occasion in one of three ways.…

FEATURE: 10 Characters We Want to See on The CW’s BATWOMAN
Batwoman is the latest major DC hero to join The CW’s Arrowverse. After her debut in the “Elseworlds” crossover event, Ruby Rose’s Kate Kane is expected to return in her own solo series. Not much is known about the potential show, except that it would follow Batwoman’s adventures in Gotham. Every Arrowverse show has featured plenty of iconic DC heroes, and it is only natural for Batwoman to follow suit. Here, we list 10 characters that we hope to see in the spinoff series. Anarky Lonnie Machin was a recurring villain on Arrow‘s fourth season, originally a henchman for Damien Darhk and later an enemy of both him and Green…

Recap: ARROW S7 E8 – Unmasked
Oliver is finally out of prison! So does that mean things will finally get back to normal? Of course not, what do you this is? The Flash? No, Arrow is operating on a whole other level. We open this episode to see the new Green Arrow training, and yes it is a female like I called back in episode 4. Sea Shimooka plays the new GA but more on that later. So, Oliver is back home and is suffering from PTSD. He freaks out when Felicity walks in on him taking a shower, but considering what happened in prison, you can’t really blame him. Ollie is making his first public appearance…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 5×07- “O Come, All Ye Thankful”
The Flash (5×07)- “O Come, All Ye Thankful” Written by: Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza Directed by: Sarah Boyd I know what you’re thinking. Flash episode, just before the winter hiatus the crossover episode looming on the horizon, and using the title of a famous Christmas Carol… It’s the Thanksgiving Episode and you’d be right. Anyway, I’m back from the Land of the Rising Sun and as I said, the winter hiatus is coming up so I’ll loop back around and pick up the two episodes I missed then but for now let’s get this week’s episode squared away. So what do we have for our Thanksgiving episode? Well at…

DAREDEVIL Has Been Cancelled by Netflix
Netflix’s severance of its relationship with Marvel continues. After cancelling Iron Fist and Luke Cage, the streaming platform has now ended its original Marvel series. Daredevil has been cancelled after a three-season run. The show premiered its critically acclaimed third season just last month, and fans have been anxious for a fourth season. Unfortunately, that isn’t happening…at least on Netflix. Netflix released the following statement on the news. “Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix. We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note. We’re thankful…

Recap: ARROW S7 E7 – The Slabside Redemption
This is it. This is the episode we’ve been waiting for. The Slabside Redemption has one single focus. Oliver’s last day in prison. Once Diaz gets word of Oliver getting released and Diaz taking his place, he launches a one-man assault on Slabside. He starts a riot. Turning the prisoners against the guards with a very Braveheart-like speech. This is Oliver’s last stand. He can’t let these guards and even prisoners die. He needs to take down the entire prison. This is reminiscent of Batman: Arkham Asylum. Diaz locked Ollie in and there’s no one he can contact. He can’t trust Stanley after learning that he killed that guard from the…

Three ARROW Villains Are Returning for “Elseworlds” Crossover
The CW’s “Elseworlds” crossover looks to be a doozy, with the return and introduction of multiple Arrowverse characters. It will also revolve around reality being rewritten by Dr. John Deegan – which explains why Barry Allen and Oliver Queen have swapped places – so characters will be looking very different. Now, we have confirmation that not one, not two, but three villains from Arrow will be featured. [Warning: the following contains SPOILERS from recent episodes of Arrow.] The CW has released a bunch of new images from “Elseworlds,” and one of them features three familiar characters: Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Joe Wilson (Liam Hall), and Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo). Here,…

Recap: ARROW S7 E6 – Due Process
As we get further along in the first quarter of the season, our main story starts to fall into place. This episode begins with Laurel visiting Oliver. She tells him everything that’s been going with his case. Ollie immediately dismisses Laurel, saying that she doesn’t care about anyone but herself, how Felicity would never work with Black Siren. Oliver’s been out of the loop for a few months, but his attitude is was uncalled for. Still, it’s a testament to how things have changed since he was locked up. After the disbandment of Level Two, Level One has upped its security. Stanley gets sent to The Hole for the murder of…

Recap: ARROW S7 E5 – The Demon
After the revelations from the last episode, we dive deeper into the workings of Level Two. Oliver sees just how twisted Dr. Parker’s practice is, plus we also meet an old friend. We learn that The Demon is none other than Talia Al Ghul, daughter of the demon. Pretty easy call but cool none the less. Especially considering she was left for dead at the end of season 5. The two have to set aside their differences and work together and escape. This is a simple episode but it’s tons of fun. We have three stories going. Ollie and Talia breaking out of Level Two, Curtis regaining his fighting spirit,…
