James Wan Reportedly Set to Co-Direct SWAMP THING Pilot

Last month, it was announced that DC is developing a new Swamp Thing show for its upcoming streaming service, DC Universe. One very interesting thing is that it is being executive produced by James Wan, who directs DC Films’ next title, Aquaman. Now, it looks like Wan will have another role to play.

According to That Hashtag Show, Wan is on board to direct the Swamp Thing pilot alongside Deran Sarafian. While Sarafian doesn’t have the blockbuster experience than Wan has, he has a history of directing for television, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and House.

Swamp Thing has been ordered for 13 episodes. The show will begin production later this year for a 2019 release. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
