SPOILER REVIEW: Limetown (TV series)
When it first hit the scene in 2015, Limetown was the podcast everyone was talking about. It was hip, it was mysterious, it was exciting; part of the first wave of true crime podcasts. What made Limetown unique was that it was fictional, yet oh so close to reality; many listeners were shocked to find out it wasn’t real at all. I reviewed the first season back then and gave it a solid 5/5 stars. Fast forward to 2019, and the series was adapted for television by Facebook Watch and the team at Iron Ocean Productions. While I missed the show during its original run, it recently made its way…

How HAMILTON’S Lost Song Changed Everything
If you listened to the cast album of Hamilton, you pretty much had the entire play pumped into your ears long before the musical landed on Disney+. There are minor differences you’ll notice when watching it up close for the first time, like King George’s damp performance in You’ll Be Back or how My Shot is referenced (visually) in The World Was Wide Enough. The album is fantastic and alone is one of the greatest works in Broadway’s history. However, it missed one song and that one song recontextualizes everything. Miranda intentionally cut Lauren’s Interlude (Tomorrow There’ll Be More of Us) from the album. Saying he wanted: “at least one…

Hamilton hits Disney+ this weekend, and millions will be watching the show for the first time. The Broadway production has been around for five years and produced some fantastic songs. Today, we’re going to rank the Top 10 Songs of Hamilton. 10. Yorktown (The World Turned Upsidedown) The Seige of Yorktown is a massive moment in our nation’s history. In this showstopping number, we see just how that battle went down. The music is incredible and creates a feeling of action and excitement. Hercules Mulligan’s rap is easily the best part, but the whole number feels like a grand finale. The immigrants got the job done. 9. Alexander Hamilton A…

FEATURE: 5 Reasons to Get Excited for METROPOLIS
Just a short three months ago, I wrote a feature for our 14 Days of Justice League arguing why Lois Lane deserved a solo film. I stand by that piece, which is why I was positively JAZZED yesterday when DC announced a prequel television series titled Metropolis, centered on the characters of Lois Lane and Lex Luthor. It’s coming from the producers of Gotham, so you can count out Amy Adams or Jesse Eisenberg. But there’s still great reason to be excited for this venture. Here’s my top five reasons to get excited for Metropolis… #5 – The Premise Here’s how DC pitches the series: Set in the wondrous and awe-inspiring City…

Acolyte is the Villain of DC’s TITANS
DC fans have been hungry for live-action Titans news, and That Hashtag Show continues to deliver. In an exclusive from That Hashtag Show, they revealed a casting call snippet showing that the new show’s Big Bad™ will be Acolyte. The Acolyte – Male. African-American 40-50. Confident. The villain of our story. He is after Rachel and her powers, trying to kidnap her after he murders her mother. Judging by the snippet, all signs point to his arc being heavily intertwined with Raven’s. In the comics, Acolyte is something of a small time villain; a normal human posing as a powerful being. With these developments, it’s likely DC is updating his character…
