Marvel’s RUNAWAYS Will Show MCU Connections in Season 2
The Runaways will be returning for a second season on Hulu December 21st. The series has always felt like its own standalone story. So much so, you’d never know that it was set in the same world as Thor: Ragnarok or Avengers: Infinity War. Well, after the events of the first season, we will finally see that connection. During a set visit earlier this month, showrunners Josh Schwartz and Samantha Savage talked about referencing the larger MCU in the second season. We’ll have a reference, late in the season, that will probably be our first real breadcrumb that connects us to the MCU in some way, said Savage. Will it reference the events…

DCTV News Bits: TITANS Casts Dove (Again), Bane’s Dad Comes to GOTHAM, and ARROW Gets Gritty
Today we’ve got some news on Titans casting, Gotham using yet another Batman villain, and Arrow doing even more crazy stunts. There’s a lot to unpack so let’s get into it. According to our friends at Super Bro Movies, Elliot Knight (Life Sentence) has been cast as Don Hall on Titans. Knight will appear in flashbacks as the original Dove. Don Hall and Hank Hall (Alan Ritchson) are brothers and the original Hawk and Dove. It’ll be interesting to see how they use the flashbacks to flesh out Ritchson’s character. Minka Kelly is playing the present day Dove. Hopefully we get to see the backstory behind all of this. Gotham is going all…

Movie News Bits: A Little Bit of Everything
Welcome to the latest round of Movie News Bits. Today, we have some updates on a couple Marvel-based movies, a DC movie update, and some tidbits on the animation front. It was recently revealed that a new Supergirl movie is in the works at Warner Bros. and DC Films. Now, we know what type of director they’re looking for. Unsurprisingly, the studio is keen on hiring a female filmmaker to tackle this project. This comes after Ava DuVernay on New Gods, Cathy Yan on Birds of Prey, and Patty Jenkins on the Wonder Woman franchise. The studio is also developing Batgirl, but that doesn’t have a director. Needless to say,…

DEADPOOL 2 Concept Art Reveals Scrapped Appearance From…The Fantastic Four?
When Deadpool 2 first entered development, director Tim Miller was set to return after the first film’s massive success. However, he eventually left the project due to creative differences. David Leitch later replaced him. Not too much has been known about how Miller’s version differs from what we got, but it turns out he planned on including Marvel’s First Family. Concept artist Alexander Lozano has been posting his artwork from Miller’s Deadpool 2 on social media. They mostly include alternative designs for characters like Cable and Juggernaut. But most significantly, he worked on designs for the Fantastic Four. Not just any Fantastic Four, either. Apparently, Miller wanted the cast of…

FEATURE: 5 Things We Want to See in AVENGERS 4 (And 5 Things We Don’t)
There are few movies that are more anticipated than Avengers 4, especially after the universe-shaking events of Infinity War. Marvel has been super vague on what will happen in Avengers 4, for very good reason. In fact, we don’t even know the title of the movie yet. Unsurprisingly, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating and theorizing what will happen. Here, we’ll list five things that we want to see in the film, and five things that…

VENOM Might Be Projected To Shatter Box Office Records, But Did Sony Make The Right Call?
As of now, Sony’s Venom is projected to shatter October’s box office records with a $65-$85 million opening weekend (Source: BoxOfficePro). One must remember since Venom still has less than two months to go before it hits theaters, the numbers will most definitely change. Most likely in Sony’s favor. This may sound great, but the real test is when the reviews hit the internet. If this movie can garner favorable reviews, then Venom‘s staying power could make this a much needed win for Sony. We’ll have to wait and see. The bigger question you should be asking yourself: Are you happy that it’s going to be rated PG-13? Also, by…

The character designs are closer to the look of the films, and now Raphael is the leader of the group (transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop).
