JUSTICE LEAGUE Finally Crosses $200 Million at Domestic Box Office
We’ve talked before about how underwhelming Justice League‘s box office has been. This week, however, the DC film finally passed a couple key box office milestones.
On Tuesday, Justice League finally hit $200 million in North America. That’s still well below every other DCEU movie, as well as the other comic book movies from this year. It is the 10th movie of the year to hit this mark domestically.
Overseas, things are looking a bit brighter. The film crossed $100 million in China this week, making it the highest grossing DC movie in that country. Its worldwide total is currently at $574 million; only another $130 million or so until it breaks even. From a more optimistic point-of-view, the film has helped Warner Bros. cross $5 billion at the worldwide box office this year – only the second time in the studio’s history.
