NBC Has Officially Canceled CONSTANTINE
Despite DC Entertainment’s recent success on television, one series that has struggled was NBC’s Constantine. The show, which is the second live action version of fan-favorite character John Constantine, was not given a full 20-something episode first season. Instead, it concluded with 13 episodes, which is shorter than, say, Arrow and The Flash‘s 23 episode seasons. Constantine struggled with ratings – a 10 pm on Friday slot for its first episodes has received some blame for that – leading to doubts of a second season. The CW Orders ARROW/FLASH Spin-Off to Series; Official Title and Plot Logline Revealed
With Upfronts set for next week, television networks are in the process of ordering new shows. Following CBS’ pickup of Supergirl yesterday, The CW has now given a series order for its The Flash/Arrow spin-off. After months of speculation, the official title for this series is DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. David Ayer Talks SUICIDE SQUAD in Behind-The-Scenes Set Video
Production on Suicide Squad is well underway in Toronto, and Entertainment City has shared a behind-the-scenes video straight from the film’s set. It shows on-set shots of Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg and more characters. The news outlet also spoke with the film’s writer and director, David Ayer. It’s official: Kara Zor-El will soon be returning to the small screen in her own live action series. CBS has confirmed that Supergirl has been ordered to series, marking the latest milestone in DC Entertainment’s television success. A few weeks ago, The CW released a promo video for Arrow and The Flash called “Superhero Fight Club.” As one might expect, it showcases the heroes of both shows facing off against their respective antagonists.
