With a premiere set for Monday night at a few IMAX theaters, the first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was leaked online via a bootleg camera recording. Unsurprisingly, this has led Warner Bros. to release the teaser trailer online early. And boy, is it great.
The footage offers new looks at Superman and Batman, with the latter looking like he was ripped right out of The Dark Knight Returns. Beautiful cinematography, thought-provoking dialogue, some terrific money shots…it’s pretty much all there. It focuses on how the world is reacting to Superman’s presence, and of course, there are plenty of mixed opinions, to say the least. And the trailer teases the epic showdown between Batman and Superman.
Oh, and for those who are attending the IMAX screenings on Monday, director Zack Snyder confirmed that the trailer that will be shown there will have a “few” more shots than this one, and those in attendance will receive “swag.” Posters, perhaps?
Anyways, what are you waiting for? Watch the Batman v Superman teaser below, and stay tuned for more as we have it.
