Machinima Developing Two More DC Entertainment Web Series
Machinima announced earlier that the Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles animated series will return next year for a second season, which will consist of ten episodes and introduce more DC characters into this alternate reality. And now, the programming service has unveiled its full upcoming slate, and it contains two more projects from DC Entertainment. DC’s next animated film, Justice League: Gods and Monsters, is set to hit home video on July 28th. The movie will explore an alternative world in the DC Universe, with radically different versions of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and more. The film is the latest DC project from Bruce Timm. Shortly before Gods and Monsters is released, fans will get to see this world in action on Machinima in the series Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles. Deadshot’s Mask Revealed in Another SUICIDE SQUAD Image
Warner Bros. just released the first cast image from Suicide Squad, featuring everyone in the Task Force X. Of course, this included Deadshot, played by Will Smith. Deadshot was noticeably not wearing his iconic mask or any form of headgear, leading some to wonder if he would remain without it in the movie. Turns out he will wear a mask. After teasing an announcement last night, Suicide Squad writer and director David Ayer has shared a new promo image featuring much of the film’s ensemble cast. Specifically, it reveals our first look at Task Force X in action, including at least one character that was previously not known to be in the movie. CBS Considering Summer Run for SUPERGIRL; LUCIFER “Less Likely” for Series Order
With Upfronts scheduled for later this month, television networks are expected to finalize their 2015-2016 schedules. One series that has been pegged as a likely series order is CBS’ Supergirl, a new adaptation of one of DC Comics’ most iconic superheroines. In The Hollywood Reporter‘s “Top 10 Pilots Likely to Score Series Pickups” list, Supergirl is again mentioned, along with The CW’s untitled Arrow/Flash spin-off. TWILIGHT’s Alex Meraz Joins The Cast of SUICIDE SQUAD
Production on Suicide Squad is well underway in Toronto. Despite this, Warner Bros.’ DC Comics adaptation is still adding to its impressive ensemble cast. According to Variety, The Twilight Saga actor Alex Meraz has signed on to appear in the supervillain film. His role in the movie is, unsurprisingly, not known. It is also unspecified how big of a role he has. Fans are already speculating that it could be Dick Grayson/Nightwing or Jason Todd/Red Hood, among others. Behind The Scenes of Warner Bros.’ Creation of The DC Cinematic Universe
After years of pleading from fans, Warner Bros. is finally crafting its own cinematic universe based on DC Comics. Beginning with Man of Steel in 2013, this universe will be further expanded with next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. These will be followed by Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Shazam, Cyborg, Green Lantern and a two-part Justice League epic. New solo films based on Batman and Superman are also in development. Looks Like [SPOILER] is Definitely Appearing in SUICIDE SQUAD
Production on Suicide Squad is now underway in Toronto, Ontario. TNT’s TITANS Pilot Reportedly Gets a New Title; Production to Begin This Summer
It was announced last year that TNT was developing the pilot Titans, which is based on DC Comics’ Teen Titans. Since then, little else has been revealed. Recently, it was revealed that actor-rapper Common has joined the cast of Suicide Squad, which is currently undergoing production. At the time, it was unclear which role he would play.
